Content & Moderation Policy
AutomatePlz is a public board for automation requests and public replies describing how someone would solve them. Everything posted is visible to anyone and appears anonymously. This page sets out what may be posted, how to report something, and what we do about it.
What's not allowed
- Personal or contact information. No phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, or messaging handles — including your own. This board is not for arranging work with anyone; we never broker contact between users.
- Spam and advertising. No selling, no repeated posts, no links that add nothing to the request.
- Harassment and hate. No attacks on a person or group, threats, slurs, or content that demeans people on the basis of who they are.
- Illegal or harmful automation. Nothing unlawful, and nothing whose purpose is fraud, malware, credential theft, scraping data from behind a login, circumventing access controls, or harassing someone at scale.
- Sexual, violent, or shocking content. This is a board about automating work tasks. Content of that kind is off-topic and will be removed.
- Someone else's confidential material. Don't paste credentials, API keys, customer data, or anything you're not free to share.
- Content that isn't an automation request or a solution to one.
How to report something
Every request and every solution carries a Report control. You need to be signed in to use it, so that reports can be rate-limited. Choose one of these reasons:
- Personal or contact information — Phone numbers, emails, addresses — anyone’s, including their own.
- Spam or advertising — Selling something, repeated posts, links with no substance.
- Harassment or hate — Attacks on a person or group, threats, slurs.
- Illegal or harmful — Automating fraud, scraping behind logins, malware, anything unlawful.
- Not an automation request — Nothing to do with automating a task.
- Something else — Tell us what’s wrong in your own words.
You can add details in your own words. Reports are anonymous to the author: we never tell anyone who reported their content, and reports are not visible to other users.
If you can't use the in-app control — or you're reporting on behalf of someone else, or raising a legal or copyright complaint — email automateplz@gmail.com.
What happens to a report
Reports go to a queue that a person reviews by hand. We aim to look at every report within 2 business days. There is no automated filtering and no moderation by other users — a human decides.
If content breaks this policy we remove it from public view. Removal is immediate and we don't notify the author in advance. We may also restrict or close the account behind it, and we report content to the relevant authorities where the law requires it.
If nothing here has been broken, we leave the content up. Disagreeing with a request, or thinking a proposed solution is wrong, is not grounds for removal.
Your own posts
You can take any of your own requests off the public board at any time from My posts, and put it back later. Hiding a post does not pause or refund a paid featured run — the time you bought keeps counting down while the post is off the board.
Paid featuring
Paying to feature a post buys position in the listing, nothing else. It does not exempt a post from this policy. Content removed for breaking these rules is not refunded, and we do not offer paid placement for anything on the not-allowed list above.
